Announcement of Online e-Visa Reopening to Myanmar

1. The Ministry of Immigration and Population launched the e-Visa Website (evisa.moip.gov.mm) on 1st September 2014. In light of the evolving COVID-19 situation and rapid increase of COVID-19 cases around the globe, there has been a temporary suspension for all new e-Visa applications since 20th March 2020, 23:59 Myanmar Standard Time (GMT +6:30).

2. At present, COVID-19 diagnosis confirmed rate and infection rate have dropped. In support of the economic development of the State, the Online e-Visa system will reopen on 1st April 2022 for business visa applications in accordance with the COVID-19 rules and regulations of the Ministry of Health.

3. Requirements for the application of Online e-Visa (Business) will be available at the Ministry’s website https://evisa.moip.gov.mm.

TESTING AND QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAVELLERS TO MYANMAR BY RELIEF FLIGHT

The Ministry of Health has issued the Testing and Quarantine Requirements for Travelers to Myanmar by Relief Flight dated 29 April 2022; which will take effect from 1 May 2022-00:00 Hour Myanmar Standard Time.

Remarks: Foreigners will not be allowed to take relief flight to Myanmar.
